Circa 1880's, a lovingly preserved Victorian Mourning locket lavishly hand engraved with a floral abundance to the reverse and enamelled in black with the motto 'IN MEMORY OF' to the frontispiece. A sentimental piece which would have had great significance and meaning to her previous owner it would be pleasing to find another such caring home.
In splendid condition with two original photographs all has a gentle and harmonious completeness. In the 'back and front' style wherein the frames and hinges are of brass type metal (for strength) the front and back are of 9ct Gold. It measures 1.5 inches lengthwise.
